how to openoffice??

i recently installed openoffice on my fresh 32 bit arch install.

i need a word and powerpoint program for school.
i was wondering if there is any way to rid of all the rest of the openoffice bs that comes with it like calc and draw and impress ect.

does anybody know?

This 'bs' you are talking about, my dear, is all tied into a heap of code. There are some distros that split out each of the frontends; you should check how much space they really require - just for fun. Then look at the size of the common codebase package.

If it's all a bit too much for you, you might want to look at alternatives like AbiWord for text processing. There are some PowerPoint-like equivalents out there too it seems, but none have all the features you'll find in OOo. It's always a tradeoff, really.

It's not possible. OpenOffice comes a suite - you got to have it all together.

anywayz there is no way to delete some of the code from the source to not install some of the programs?
or is that way to much to even wanna attemp

It would be a pointless effort since you'd save extremely little disk space and it would be undone by pacman with the next update. There is no use in what you wish for.
