Firefox file associations

How to make Firefox open folder with Dolphin, not Cervisia?.. How to make it open pdf files in Okular, not in gimp?..

Really, why are Firefox developers not using "xdg-open"? It always work the right way.

Re: Firefox file associations

In the Firefox Preferences dialog is a section called Apllications. There you can choose which action should be taken when a certain filetype is downloaded.

There is no such option for folders.

Re: Firefox file associations

Install mozplugger and edit:

/etc/mozpluggerrc

search the line:

application/x-pdf:pdf:PDF file
text/pdf:pdf:PDF file
text/x-pdf:pdf:PDF file
    ACROREAD()
    repeat noisy swallow(okular) fill: okular "$file"
    GV()

and check that have (or put) that line repeat noisy swallow(okular) fill: okular "$file.

This file contain all Firefox  associations politics.
