Build a separate package for i(<6)86?

Hi,

Is there a way to rebuild a package (gkrellm) which gives 'Illegal instruction' on start? It's an old laptop, just good enough to generally deliver big_smile .

Looks like you're not the only one with this problem.

You can grab the PKGBUILD from either ABS or the subversion repository and rebuild it. For the latter you would do something like:

svn export svn://archlinux.org/community/gkrellm/trunk gkrellm
cd gkrellm
makepkg -si

Use abs for now.

Llama - your thread title is confusing. Do you want to install gkrellm on a i586 (or earlier) system, or do you just want a fix for the reported bug?
