Hi,
I've been using Archlinux in a VMWare machine for a while now.
I installed it on my laptop yesterday, it's working smoothly, except for one thing.
I can't seem to figure out how to edit the keyboard layout.
I need to rebind my ". ;" key to my "F9" key, because my ". ;" of my belgian keyboard on my laptop is dead...
I did this once with Xubuntu, but I don't know how to do it with Archlinux.
Kind Regards,
Naunaud.

Hi,
Thank your for your input.
I've tried to edit the xmod output, but, whenever I rebind the semicolon / period key to the F9 key, I only have access to the semicolon, and not the the period (either when I use shift or caps lock), if I rebind a letter, it works normally.
Any idea?
Kind Regards,
Naunaud.

Oh yes, it is really strange.... I tried some things but no luck. Maybe, you can live with F9=period and F11=semicolon or any other bind??
Sry that I cannot help you.

Yeah, I think I'll do that, it's strange because it worked on Xubuntu.
Thanks for your help though!

Yes, its strange. In my case:
keycode 78 = ccedilla Ccedilla (PrtScr)
keycode 107 = ordfeminine masculine (Scrolllock)
78 gives ç and shift-78 gives Ç, but 107 shifted or unshifted both give ª (shifted should give a small o).
However I also noticed that using a virtual keyboard (xvkbd in community), I am also unable
to get the small 'o' so I think it has something to do with the definitions in /usr/share/X11/xkb.
I am using an american keyboard with the us(intl) layout (setxkbmap "us(intl)".
Since its not that important to me, I didn't bother to analyze further.
