When I try to run yaourt -Syu
I get this....
[jason@xbmc-extender1 ~]$ yaourt -Syu
:: Synchronizing package databases...
/usr/bin/yaourt: line 572: 3623 Aborted sudo $@sudo pacman -Syu
[jason@xbmc-extender1 ~]$ sudo pacman -Syu
:: Synchronizing package databases...
Aborted
[jason@xbmc-extender1 ~]$I haven't had any problems updating this system for close to a year now.
I tried searching the forums, but I couldn't find anyone with the similar problem.
If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. ![]()

What do your /etc/pacman.conf and /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist look like? Try using "-Syy".

this happened to me too
for this: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/18531
and this: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/18537
new samba 3.5.0 and wins in hosts name resolution in nsswitch.conf are not so good in these days ![]()

Those links helped me fix my problem max.bra!
Instead of downgrading samba, I just removed wins from my /etc/nsswitch.conf and all is good.
This also helped me fix a problem that I developed around the same time on my desktop system.
Firefox started to crash constantly. Sometimes just by mearly lauching it. I removed the wins line and now
it works great too. (The pacman aborting problem was on my xbmc extender that doesn't have a web browser)
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped me resolve this issue.
:D:D
Time to mark this puppy solved!
