Digikam problems reading camera

Hi All,

I used to be able to plug my camera in and digikam would pop up and I could download my images. (My camera is a Canon SX10)

Now when I plug it in Digikam pops up and displays this message:

The specified device ("/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_4a9_318d_7A668E7C947842C5A27F7984D478B658_if0") is not valid.

Looks like a hal issue, but not sure how to resolve it.

(By the way I had to install libjpeg.so.7 from AUR as after an upgrade only libjpeg.so.8 exists on my system.
( .. and yes, I do have the latest version of Digikam ..)
