Can anyone using Fluxbox confirm if it is playing well with xorg-server 1.7.5.901-2? On my box xorg-server 1.7.5.901-2 totally hates fluxbox. The keyboard and mouse are not working at all ..
Silly question; Can you confirm that hal is running?

1.7.5.901-2 works fine with fluxbox. I'm running it right now.

I see that Fedora also has a patched version in their testing section. Wow, I hope it's not one of those things that are going to be patched distribution by distribution as opposed to being fixed by upstream.

Using xorg-server 1.7.5.901-2, nvidia 190.53-1, and fluxbox 1.1.1-1, failed at first. I tried to restart HAL and the restart failed. However, a reboot seems to make everything work. How dirty

pekwm 0.1.11-2 is working with xorg-server 1.7.5.901-2
It would also be great to have my computer built into my skull. That way I could surf the Net during useless periods of life, such as when people talk to me.

All is working now with xorg-server-1.7.5.901-2 and fluxbox 1.1.1.
Thanks to harrynid for his bugreport and arch devs for quick fix.

Sorry.. I just restarted the computer like one of the other posters did and now it all seems to be fine. Its a pity that now, I don't have a reason to remove fluxbox and install openbox

Thanks to the dev's for fixing this issue as quickly as they have, my fellow thread members for sharing their views, harrynid for his bug report and Gerardo for his patch to fix the bug...
Now imagine doing this, if xorg-server was closed source.!

This community is why I love arch. Way to work people. Long live fluxbox
Sometimes I just want people to expect me to do what I would do instead of what most people would do.

This issue is not fluxbox specific, it is xorg-server specific. Using xfce4 on a Lenovo laptop, neither mouse or keyboard respond with package update "xorg-server 1.7.5.901-1". This forces a hard shutdown in order to boot back into the system (init 3) where the keyboard once again responds (not booted into X).
The temporary solution is to downgrade to xorg-server 1.7.5-1 as many have already mentioned. Now I can confirm mouse and keyboard are responding under xfce4.

Should I change the topic of this thread to include the phrase "[SOLVED]"?
Or is it not necessary?
Thanks

It is definetly good idea.
