[Solved] Nvidia 9800GT - Driver/Card Problem

When I installed nvidia driver first time, everything was fine and worked properly. After one week, I turned on my PC/Arch and started Openbox/X in not usual resolution 1680*1050, but in default 1024*768. /* I didn't updated system */

I tried to reconfigure and reinstall everything what was possible. /* X, Nvidia, tried Fluxbox, Nvidia beta drivers, reinstalled full Arch... */, but still nothing.

So I tried to install Ubuntu with nvidia drivers, but what was strange, the same problem appered. It used to work...

My final try, was Windows 7. If I remembered well, I didn't installed any graphic driver and the resolution was seted up automatically. But now, no. I had to install nvidia drivers and after that I get finally the resolution, which I wanted.

But now, I am very confused. I really don't know where is my problem.

In graphic card or it's driver, maybe my monitor or I don't know...

Please could you help me?

Re: [Solved] Nvidia 9800GT - Driver/Card Problem

So, Your problem is that the system started in non-native resolution of 1024x768?

Judging from the sentence:
"I tried to reconfigure and reinstall everything what was possible"

Normal attempt to change the resolution using any settings dialog in Openbox or Nvidia driver control program was impossible?

Exactly.

In nvdia-settings I have only 3 options: Auto/640*480/320/240.

But, what is weird, I turn on Arhc today and resolution is good.

So, I don't undetstand. Where was /* and I think still is */ the problem?

*Edited: Problem solved. I just configured my xorg.conf manually following this tutorial.
