I did an install of Arch Linux yesterday, for the first time in a long while, and I noticed that fstab is not using UUIDs. But I am pretty sure that the last time I installed Arch Linux, my fstab had UUIDs in it.
Is this something that was changed in the Arch Linux installer or does my install have a problem?

a bug in the aif. http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/17632
the future releases will have this feature again.

Well, my system is up and running, so I am not worried, but I was curious. Thanks for the info!

My experience with the AIF is that if installing to a system with 1 hdd, the scsi libata naming convention is used i.e. sda1, 2, 3..
However, when using a system with 2 or more drives, the AIF would use UUID.
