Have you considered common git for all ArchBang users, with all default configs and scripts uploaded. You can c/p from there, edit and share it as your personal branch.

Okay, so far this has generated about 120 GB of traffic on my server since I started mirroring.
About 35 GB of it went over the bittorent network. That's only about one third of the whole traffic.

Good news: That's about 350 downloads of archbang from my server alone! Congrats guys

Bad news: There's currently only 4 seeders for the torrents (out of the original ~100 downloaders) that's 4 % guys!... I somewhat expected this, but it is still sad. This is not some kind of pirated copy of Assassins Creed. You are free to share this. So please do share it.

I had to run

pacman -Syy && pacman -Sd nvidia nvidia-utils --noconfirm

to get the graphics working, but aside from that it was all really straight forward and fun... And I learned how to use nano lol, I was expecting VI

Actually I created it. However I don't know if I will implement it. It goes against the Arch Way of spoon-feeding users. They are going to criticize the hell out of us. The script is simple. Just downloads the configs from a URL and unpacks the lzma package in your /home dir and pushes the configs in respective places. I guess I could upload the file somewhere but it will not be "officially" announced/implemented in Archbang.

Lol @ spoon-feeding. The script will only be useful until you do a final release, after that it will no longer be required. Host it somewhere, I'm interested

I re-installed (via cd this time) and have been keeping an eye on it. The issues are still there. This time conky just dissapeared and the key combos no longer worked. tint panel also seemed to freeze, clicking on icons on the panel did zip. The Reboot & Exit options on OBmenu stopped working as well, the other menu functions continued to work.

I will be seeding Archbang 2, 64 bits the coming time as much as possible.
Downloading not by torrent because that wasn't going at all.

Installing went well except Nvidia problem, then strange error that all the depositories were coded out.
Running well.
When I tried to partition unallocated space on the hard drive, I got a problem that I could not resize teh extended partition in which I wanted to create a new partition for Arch. What happened is that the Archbang cd was using the swap partition on that extended partition. I had to swapoff the swap partition and only then the extended partition could be unmounted what is necessary for resizing. In the aftermath quite an obvious thing, but it took me some time to detect the problem.

i have not release this version yet. I added adeskbar to the top of the desktop so i have shortcuts to the apps i use.

Nice to see your efforts. But it would really help us if you actually contributed to ArchBang instead of creating a fork of a fork. But it's your project,good luck.:) If however you are interested mail me.

No but Chromium has it's own extensions and there are plenty of them. I have found all the extensions I need for Chromium without a hassle. Adblock, Weather, Google Translate, IETab are the four I have installed but there are plenty more at https://chrome.google.com/extensions

Precisely. I'm not skilled enough to do a great deal but I can do some suggestions that might be valuable in adapting the distro.
First about the way it looks. I' m used to the openbox version of Madbox(=Crunchbang 9.10) made by Adcomp and it is very useful to take a look there. http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … usb-toram/
Look for instance at the wonderful oblogout Adcomp has made

He made a nice madbox theme too that could be slightly adapted and incorporated:

Opacity is also working very well in Madbox using myxcompmgr and although I myself don't care too much for that, I know a lot of people do feel that's important to bring a little glamour to the desktop.
Software I installed is among others geany, pcmanfm, ristretto, gtkpacman, fakeroot, adeskmenu.
I also installed the slim login manager, decided not to use it , but it would be nice to provide that as a standard option.
For a broader choice of software apps the madbox choice is very well balanced too and definitely worth a look.
Adeskbar might be a good choice for the people that like a dock.
For me as an Arch newbie the most ccomplicated thing is not so much the installation of new software, but the difficulty of finding out what is available and what will work out installing and what not; no fakeroot installed gave some problems but also missing dependencies without clear suggestions how to solve them.
