I have attempted to make a pacman + libraries package (which I haven't got round to testing yet), as the pacman-static package seemed a little bit unmaintained. If anyone is interested in testing it, there's a ready built version at ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/larch/larch7/i … lin.tar.gz. It's not an Arch package, just a normal tar-ball - just unpack it and run the pacman script, but note that it doesn't include a pacman.conf, so you'd need to add that. The build script is in larch git:
