cup fan and new kernel [SOLVED]

After a kernel upgrade, about 2 months ago, I have constant problems with the CPU fan.
This is what happens.
I boot the laptop and the fan starts, that's normal. After Arch gets to the screen where it prompts to use the regular boot or the backup/alternate boot  and I press enter the fan stops.
After a few minutes the temperature is up to 75 C.

If I stop the boot process at the prompt (before the fun stops) and press e (as if I want to edit the kernel line or something) and wait for say 30 secs. and THEN press enter then the  fan continues to work (most of the time) and everything is OK.

Given that the problem araised after a Kernel upgrade and since it seems to me that if I wait right before I load the kernel the fan continues to run,  I'm pretty sure the  problem is kernel related.

I'd like to keep Arch  in my laptop but if I cannot use it then is useless to me and I may need to go to LinuxMint that seems to work just fine with it. So as my last resort I'm asking here to see if someone has any ideas.

And yes ... I did use the wiki to find all the possible ideas as to setup a laptop with Arch but no luck so far.

I'll appreciate any ideas on the matter I sure have run out of things to try sad

Re: cup fan and new kernel [SOLVED]

Found a solution.
Adding "nolapic" to the kernel line solves the problem, now the sensors read when the CPU is too hot and start the fans.
