Wicd

this is strange...never had this problem before...

just installed Arch on my laptop again.... Wicd wont see ANY wireless networks... ?!?!? any suggestions?

Have you followed the wireless setup guide and installed drivers etc?

i would guess you need the iwl5000-series driver

sweet! Thanks! what about getting an Alltel Wireless Data card to work?

should I use ndiswrapper and the driver?

and where would I find the driver?

It seems like you had wicd working at some point in the past, but since the reinstall did you add 'wlan0' as the Wireless Interface in Preferences? 

Sometimes wicd doesn''t pick it up off the bat.
