Ok I downloaded and installed playonlinux from the official POL site (they have an arch repo). However, POL hangs when I try to install something and when I try to close it I get an error asking that If I want to terminate the application "python"
So I uninstalled POL from my comp but wine its still there and "sudo pacman -R wine" doesnt work (says there is no suck package or group).
So what I want to do is to purge my arch installation from all wine related stuff and then install wine via the official arch repos and then a GUI frontend for it (POL and any other that works).
How can I do this? regards

I think you could install it from AUR and force it to overwrite all the old files and then -R it

I am able to unistall playonlinux no problem, but wine stays installed, with all the dependencies and 32 libs (lots)
I wanna remove that, playonlinux is no problem.

You're on a 64-bit system, you'll need to clean up the 32-bit libraries. Perhaps you'd rather use a 32-bit chroot (search the wiki) for wine/playonlinux?

I tought wine already had a 64bit release, or is it still in development? because If it is I would rather wait...
And isnt there a problem with removing ALL 32bit libs? arent there other apps who use them?

The wine package on x86_64 is probably bin32-wine, so you will want to "pacman -Rs bin32-wine". That will take all the unnneeded lib32 packages with it. Confirm the package name using "pacman -Qs wine"

Success!!!! WOW packman does really fast uninstalling
Ok now, the best way to install wine would be a 32bit chroot? Or via the wine wiki article? or is there a better way?

I use a 32-bit chroot. Relies the least on AUR packages and lib32 stuff.
