gVim as superuser and file association

1. I installed gVim package, but when I started it, it allways show in title bar (as superuser). Is there some problem if I run gVim editor in that state or can I change to run in user mode?

2. Also, if I click on any text file, gVim opens it instead of gedit, is there any way to change this behaviour?

For problem No.2, one solution is to put (or create defaults.list) in ~/.local/share/applications/defaults.list

[Default Applications]
text/plain=gedit.desktop

But, that way, it opens only some types of text files in gedit, but something like .log or some text file which have executable attribute (and opens dialog with "Run in terminal, Display, Cancel, Run) again opens in gVim. Is there some solution, that gedit is again default text editor?

Which desktop environment are you using?

GNOME, it's almost obvious if I use gedit. smile

Re: gVim as superuser and file association

Apparantly is a bug in libgtop.  Link: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60324

gvim -f (forground option) is one workaround.
