I am not able to connect to my wlan network using wicd. I get the following error.
Connection Failed: Unable to Get IP Address
While trying manually through the terminal I could associate to an access point but dhcpcd gives a timout error while trying to get the ip.

I am still trying to figure this out as well. I have googled all day trying to figure it out. So far the only thing I can do is reboot and it will connect.

I have regular probs with this too, somtimes this is the only thing that works -
ifconfig eth0 down
ifconfig wlan0 down
iwconfig wlan0 essid #### key ###
ifconfig wlan0 up
then either dhcpcd wlan0 or use wicd to get an IP. A pain in the arris and no mistake, but it always works.

Are you using dhcpcd to get the ip address?
Try with dhclient instead.

I also have far fewer wireless problems since following the wicd wiki guide! Doh!

It didn't work for me after restarting a couple of times.
But today I tried booting into the Fallback Image and it worked. Now its working fine.
