I've installed Arch by following the Beginners Guide but somehow my keyboard doesn't work in X. It works fine in TTY tough.
I've never had any problems with X before on my laptop and last time I installed Arch it was working just fine..

You'll need xf86-input-keyboard and xf86-input-evdev. Which DE/WM are you using?

Does your mouse work and are you using a xorg.conf?

You could probably try running without an xorg.conf (still make sure hal is running).

Check that hal is not backgrounded in your rc.conf and pretty close to the start, like directly after syslog. Worked for me, but ymmv
