Amarok 2.3.0 -> show embedded cover arts

Hey there.
Is there any way to teach amarok 2.3.0 to display cover arts that are embedded in the mp3 files?
The Cover-Manager does only find around 1/3 of all my covers, and apart from that amarok displays them only very rarely.
All I found is a plugin that copies the amarok-covers to the music-dir. But thats not what I need at all. It would only use the covers amarok has found with the cover-manager anyway.

Long story short: Actually I already have all the covers I need embedded in the mp3 files. I would love it when amarok could use them. Would be soooo much easier.

Edit: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=116&t=73707 here they say its not implemented yet, but its "planned". But this thread is nearly a year old. Does anymone know something about a patch?

hi,

what a pitty that a good media player as Amarok is doesn't have that feature present in nearly every-other media player out ther However, Amarok comes with a plugin to retrieve covers from the net, may be you want to use it until they finally fix this.

i believe i saw a commit dealing with this issue(at least about tahs, not sure about covers). Check recent commit messages at http://gitorious.org/amarok

Well thats what I do now. But as I said it only finds around 1/3 of all covers (which actually would be available in the mp3s), and additionally amarok does not even show all of the covers correctly that are available in the covermanager.

However, thanks for the git-link http://gitorious.org/amarok/amarok/merge_requests/134. Here is the request. Last comment a month ago... well maybe it will be merged in the future. What does "verifying" mean here? That its tested before build in for everyone?
