I have recently bought a new system with intel core i5 processor which supports 64bit system.
Which version of arch should I install 32bit or 64bit ? What will be the pros and cons ?

There are several davantages using 64bit verions of operating systems. In the old times, there were some problems caused by incompability of software, but today you shouldn't have any problems at all
tip: try out wikipedia for further information about 32 and 64bit

I had nightmares with Ubuntu and 64-bit, especially with Wine. It was a pain in the arse. However, with Arch I've been on 64-bit, used the bin32-wine from the AUR and everything else has been smooth as a baby's bum, especially since adding such delights as a 2.6.33-rt-ice kernel. 64-bit's absolutely fine here so you may as well.
Please be patient, I'm a n00b on Arch (only 2 years on Ubuntu) so I may say something stupid!
PS thank you to all those who contribute awesomeness to the AUR and the main packages, you guys have made my computer so much more fun to use!

>=4 G of ram, then 64 bit for sure (if you're even thinking of getting 4 gigs or more in the near future go 64 bit)
