Today I installed Miro from extra and it worked fine, but when I tried to play a file in the h.264 with the filename ending with .mp4, I get a message that Miro can't play this file.
VLC and mplayer can play it fine, but Totem gives me a "GStreamer encountered a general stream error." message.
A more detailed error from Terminal when running Miro:

is gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg installed on this machine?

Now it is, and it works.
Thanks.
I had some of the packages in the meta-package gstreamer0.10-plugins installed, but not the one you mentioned. I installed the whole meta-package and now it works. ![]()
