Suspend: pm-suspend works, but Gnome Suspend won't

Hi!

I have a strange problem. I have added my user account to power group. When I log into gnome using gdm I can select "Suspend" from menu. Well, when I select Suspend it goes suspend as it should. When I start my machine again, I only get black screen and only way to "fix it" is just to press power button long enough and boot the whole machine.

Anyway, if I open terminal in Gnome and run pm-suspend as root it goes suspend too as it should. Then, when I start my machine again, it works well?

Eg. pm-suspend run as root will suspend and wake up nicely, but Gnome's own power does not? Any ideas what can cause that?
