[solved] Install requires drivers not on official media

Hi,
I'm trying to install Arch on my beautiful new Thinkpad, but the ethernet and wireless card drivers are only in kernel version 2.6.31+ I think.  What is the best way to perform an Arch installation given that there is no expected update to the official install media?

It seems like maybe I could download the latest Archboot images and do a regular install that way, but I'm skeptical after seeing this in the latest announcement thread:

KNOWN ISSUES:
- FTP installation mode:
  None wink
- CD installation mode:
  None wink

Thanks in advance

Why the skepticism? Pull them in, try them, if it works, yay, if it doesn't, then at least you know and you tried. I suppose the few hundreds of MB you waste on the ISO are not really an issue on the connection you have (if they are an issue, then Arch is a bad distro to use anyways).

Ah, I think I misunderstood what I quoted.  I was under the impression that it meant the CD and FTP installation modes were not available.  Obviously this is not true.  I'll give it a shot.

Ok smile. It just means the people who tested it didn't find any bugs in said modes wink.
