I can suspend just fine with pm-hibernate but I am not sure on how to thaw my machine. When I push my laptop's power button the machine seems to just plain old reboot. I get bios, grub, etc. I cannot see any documentation on thawing, can some one help me out?

What happens if you just hit 'Enter'?

Nothing happens if I hit enter after hibernate.

To come out of suspend, I hit 'Enter.' To come out of hibernation, I depress the power switch. Depressing and holding for 1-2 seconds will reboot the machine. Sorry - that's all I've got...

Have you configured the resume= path in GRUB? It sounds like your system is hibernating, but unable to find the resume files in swap. If you haven't already, make sure you follow the pm-utils wiki article closely:

No problem. If that resolved the issue, please edit your original post and add [SOLVED] to the subject.
Cheers
