KDE does not shows correctly bmp images

For example this image:

In lancelot:

In Konqueror/Dolphin:

I mean, that pink color must be transparent, right?

is it a normal behavior or no?

Thanks big_smile

Re: KDE does not shows correctly bmp images

Bitmaps don't have an alpha channel. Let me guess, the source image is a .ico file? If so KDE is using the first layer which can be a bitmap without alpha channel. Could be worse, id could have supplied a 4 color version of the icon ;-) Try to extract the single images out of the ico file.

Edit: Just saw on your screenshot that the source file is a plain bitmap not an .ico. This behavior is normal, thats what they used to achieve transparency before the windows shell got alpha support. KDE wont draw that color transparent the result wouldn't be as smooth as real transparency with alpha anyway.
