vlc dev package?
Is there a VLC player dev package? I'm trying to build clementine, which has gone to VLC as the default player, and it needs vlc.h (and libvlc). But I don't see the package in either main or AUR. Probably just aren't searching correctly.

Maybe you mean that you use vlc-phonon on KDE ?

Added an issue on their backtracker. Adding VLC as a makedepend is too much.

There are no -dev packages in Arch. Headers aren't split out.
You can also see online the headers are included:

Yes, Clementine, as of the end of March, uses vlc (or maybe phonon-vlc) as its backend.
Ah, I see that vlc.h is included with vlc. My mistake was just running make after installing vlc. I had to re-run clemetine's cmake, then run make
