user list page sorting

not sure if it would be hard to do but wouldn't it be better for the User List page to be sortable from letters of the alphabet rather than page numbers 1-xxx?

Re: user list page sorting

We make no changes to the forum software apart from branding.  Most (all?) locales sort numbers before letters, so I doubt they will be changing that.

Re: user list page sorting

I wonder if there is a FluxBB extension that actually lets you do a search for a specific member.  Its kind of annoying to have to sift through pages upon pages just to find the right member.  It shouldn't be too hard to write IMO either, however, seeing how its just PHP with a database connection (MySQL?).  Maybe integrate the already present search function for looking for posts into the user database.

Yes, I know there is an author search, but that just displays all posts by the author.  However, I guess that is enough...

I don't know if I get you right, but you can do a search for, say, 'Ala*' and get a list of users with matching names. 'a*' is 48 pages long ..

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you're trying to do. The profile page? Click on the name of the poster.

Yeah, you still have to do the dishes yourself ;-)
I have no idea what are you typing about.
