After update (KDE 4.3.4-1 => KDE 4.4.0-1) no OpenOffice-printing

After system update printing from OpenOffice doesn't work any more. OpenOffice alerts "no default printer" and printer selection is empty. All other applications and also the kde printer settings dialogue behave normal.
Cups is up and running, can be reached via it's web interface.
Adding a new PDF-converter with spadmin (kdesu spadmin) doesn' t work, but without any error message. The printers list is and stays empty.
Before the update OpenOffice printing worked well.
Any ideas?

I found the problem.

my cupsd worked no more after the recent conflicting config files issue these days.
I replaced my /etc/cups/cupsd.conf with the new config files and now all is ok.

Problem solved. There was a leftover "export SAD_DISABLE_CUPS=1" in a .profile file.

... but strangely this didn't affect OpenOffice for years before this update.
