Gnome & Mouse Sensitivity

I just got Gnome installed and working tonight and I'm trying to get used to it (As compared to Windows XP). My first biggest issue is the way the mouse sensitivity works. In Gnome, the System > Preferences > Mouse slider bars don't seem to function properly. Only acceleration seems to have any effect on the speed of the mouse cursor. I don't want to use acceleration at all; I simply want to make my mouse move faster or slower.

Why is this behavior so weird? Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Gnome & Mouse Sensitivity

I confirm Gnome's mouse sensitivity setting has absolutely no effect. It's probably a bug.

As a workaround, you can use the « xset m » command.
