Hello everybody,
I've got an old Elo ET1224L touchscreen. It's connected with my PC's Serial-Port. Well I tried several xf86-input driver packages, but none seems to work. I tried 'less /proc/bus/input/devices' as said in the [wiki]touchscreen[/wiki] article, but it seems that my touchscreen is not listed. There's only an entry named 'Macintosh mouse button emulation', which I cannot allocate to any attached device.
Has anybody an idea, how I can get my touchscreen working?
I've installed xorg, hal, gamin and lxde. Only hal is started as daemon on startup. LXDE is started via 'xinit /usr/bin/startlxde' when needed.
Greetings, waldfux

I didn't try those drivers, but it looks like that your first link is for specific company distributions only. The only drivers that should work with my screen aren't supported since xorg 1.5... I think the problem is that the screen is connected via serial port. Is there a command like lsusb for my serial port? If yes, I could check if its detected by Linux or if there's a problem with my serial port.
