Update from 04/09 (possibly kernel) causing system lock ups

It seems that this is happening only on battery power on my laptop.  I'll be browsing the internet (nothing very intensive) and my laptop will hard lock:  no caps lock toggle, can't ping from another networked PC, shutdown command via power button doesn't work.  I just have to hold the power every time this happens.  I tested last night and the longest uptime I had on battery was 30 minutes, while I never had a freeze on AC.

Has anyone else experienced this?  I don't see anything in /var/log/everything.log, so I don't know of a good way to isolate this, so any advice would be appreciated.  Here are my system specs via lspci:

Re: Update from 04/09 (possibly kernel) causing system lock ups

I attempted to roll back to a server last synced before the update, however this seemed to cause some problems, so I'm going to try another route.  If it's related to ath9k hopefully this will fix it:

If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated....this is one nasty problem.

Re: Update from 04/09 (possibly kernel) causing system lock ups

After installing the compatibility kernel module for ath9k I have an uptime of over 5 hours.  I was on battery for a large portion of that, so I believe that the problem is fixed.  Hopefully if anyone else having this problem then they can use this for reference.
