Kde3.4 problem

Have upgraded and performed the remove and reinstall procedure for kde and rebooted to a KDE desktop.

I am unable to open the /var/abs/kernels folder.  I can select the folder but not open it in file manager.

Is there a fix for this problem?

I had  a similar problem. After I rebooted it cleared up.
