Hi guys.
How can i change the colors in vim, so they fx would look like this: http://www.ubuntu-pics.de/bild/32870/sc … 58ONYp.png
But without changing the colors in ncmpcpp.
I've set the colors of ncmpcpp in .Xdefaults.
Thanks :)

Well i got both, but don't seem like the colorscheme is setted on gvim.
I also prefer vim.

If you want both you should add it to .vimrc and .gvimrc.

note: if you want to change colorscheme within vim (to check various vim themes for instance) you can type the command
:colorscheme nameoftheme (note it accepts tab autocompletition)
when you finally decide on a theme you write on your ~/.vimrc
colorscheme nameofthename

You want to use a vim colorscheme that _doesn't_ use colour 1-15, and a terminal that supports 256colours.

Sry for replying in a "old" (not much) topic, I've downloaded a vim theme (oceandeep) and I've applied it without any error to vim , are the final colors depending on .Xdefaults in use?

the linked colorscheme is wombat. you'll need a terminal with 88 or 256 colors.
no place like /home
github

Best way to find out is to read oceandeep.vim. If it uses colour 0->15, then .Xdefaults will affect it.
