Tablet pressure works... but only in GTK apps?!

I have this odd problem.

I'm running a Dell Latitude XT. Touch works. Stylus pressure in Gimp and Mypaint works. I never get any tablet pressure in QT / KDE apps though. QT's own tablet widget doesn't seem to do anything and a freshly compiled Krita (which the maintainers say just pulls tablet info straight from QT without any configuration) recognises no pressure.

I did find this issue, but can't be sure if it's related or not.

I tried installing linux-wacom and xf86-input-wacom packages, however that just stopped the working parts of touch and the stylus from working at all.

I've read through the troubleshooting part of http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Tablet_PC Unfortunately, that suggests getting output from wacdump and xidump, neither of which I've managed to find packages for, thus why there's not a lot of output on this post.

I'm hoping someone here might have an idea how I'd go about configuring / fixing this. Any ideas appreciated!
