Tiny Keyboard problem

I can't use my tiny keyboard on my ASUS N61 laptop.
Anyone know about this issue?
Thanks for helping.

You need to point a finger to a key in the keyboard and PRESS it. It dont work by mental waves, this is not current implemented in the kernel. tongue

Ok, seriously now, you need to give some more information about you problem. With "tiny keyboard" you means the keyboard that come built-in with n61 you are talking about some usb/bluetooth "tiny keyboard"?

A tip, in linux in general, "can't use" or "don't work" is not good thinks to say, always describe you problem clearly, e.g. "I open a terminal and type in my built in keyboard but no keypress are detected, dmesg show blabla when I press a key..."

Sorry with you post is really obviously and I missing it...

It works ok in windows 7.

So you are saying you cannot enter a character if you press a key?

Maybe install xf86-input-keyboard

Thanks for your tips.:) My english is poor.
It's a builtin tiny keyboard, when I press a key, no keypress are detected.

Re: Tiny Keyboard problem

Is it correct that the keyboard works before you start X? If not, how do you login?
Do external keyboards work?

I need a sorted list of all random numbers, so that I can retrieve a suitable one later with a binary search instead of having to iterate through the generation process every time.

Just the TINY keybord , at the right side of the whole keyboard.
I'm at office now, I'll try in console when home.

Re: Tiny Keyboard problem

The NUMPAD? Does it move the mouse if you keep pressing, e.g., 4? If so, go into keyboard preferences and deselect "control pointer with keyboard" or similar.

Yes it's the NUMPAD. And mouse pointer moved when keep pressing 4, 8, 6 or 2.
My system uses slim+xfce4, and I can't find "control pointer with keyboard".
Is there any other way to change this setting?

Re: Tiny Keyboard problem

Amazing, Shift-Numlock solves my problem.
Thanks all of you .

BTW.

I went to the above page. The mouse settings dialog has changed  in current version's XFCE4, and  "Enable mouse emulation" disappeared.
