Installing Gnome

after pacman -Syu,

and after installing gdm, fluxbox and gnome-et-al
startx fails apparently due to a lack of a config file.

a.) is there anything else I need to install?
b.) how do I start a config process or where does the config live
so i can try to manually edit it

thx

Re: Installing Gnome

you need to edit .xinitrc in your home directory

for gnome: exec gnome-session
for fluxbox: exec fluxbox
