pulse audio won't start

I tried to install pulseaudio but failed.
pacman -S pulseaudio
pulseaudio --start
  E: main.c: Daemon startup failed.
How to solve this problem?

Read the wiki on Pulseaudio. Only ask questions if that doesn't work. Provide more details when you do have specific questions.
