I'm following the wineappdb tutorial to install Photoshop CS4 demo on linux, what could be the problem ?

Is a bug.
What is your wine version? Probably the bug should be resolved.
Anyway, interesting link that solved the problem, based on Ubuntu ( is almost the same).

For now, the problem is windows tools needed for wine, not the photoshop CS4 demo install ...

The link is wrong, trying doing the steps 2 and 3 on this guide.
