Yep, I am using it on my MacBook and I might even stick with it. For some reason it feels more simple than GRUB and although it hasn't been developed much recently its still very stable. Haven't had the slightest issues with LILO yet !

I also used GRUB2 recently as the boot loader for Ubuntu on the same device and it broke everytime I did "apt-get update", forcing me to boot into the live CD, mount my root-partition and reinstall GRUB. This might have been just an Ubuntu issue, but that sort of stuff annoys me and prevents me from using it again. It's why I tried LILO for a change in Arch and so far I'm pleased.

@tpowa, Thanks.
I'll keep 2010.04 in mind for installing on another box. Currently still using the Grub2 install on Squeeze/Sid and it works fine to start Arch. Grub2 is just another learning curve; but it looks like it's here to stay so we'll either adapt or stick to the old. It's not difficult to install/reinstall either Grub1 or Grub2.

Still climbing the curve.

I still use Lilo   It is very KISS, just have to run lilo after a kernel update is all.  I mean, it does it's job: it boots the OS, and it uses the standard hard drive nomenclature and not the grub-specific designations.  I was hoping they would do that with grub2, but it's not even the same as grub

I don't see the necessity to go from grub to grub2, unless you just want to learn all-new bootloader config scripts.
