enlightenment epplets menu: slipping away

Stupid problem - I want to try out enlightenment. I installed epplets - and the menu is slipping away everytime I want to select an entry. Let me tell some more details.

The epplets-menu list is longer than the screens hight. So, when I open it, the enlightenment menu next with the epplets menu is slipping to the top ot the screen - drawing the mouse pointer out of sight. Now. when I try to  move the mouse, the epplets menu is closed. Stupid.

What can I do?

Get rid of the "menu warping" feature IIRC. It's in one of the available configuration panels... I forget which though. It's been too long since I've used Enlightenment.
