@tartan: Heh that reminds me of my naive "I print out the fvwm man page becaue certainly i can read that then when traveling in a train or waiting somewhere"...it was about 200 pages long... and of course i didn't really read it and nowadays i'm on tiling wms anyway

Recently gotten myself a new laptop (Sony Vaio Y) last week. So this is an almost week old Arch install and this is what it looks like so far:
Clean:
In use:
Some info:
- Openbox (theme Shiki Human)
- tint2 (vertical config, multi-desktop), nm-applet in systray (networkmanager)
- dzen2 (onderin), conky stuff gets piped in here and dzen makes it look good plus I can add clickable actions or menus
- sakura terminal
GTK theme is Shiki-Human and Icons are GNOME-Human
Wallpaper comes from Interfacelift.

- The icons are retrofukation, they are on gnome-look.org and a couple of icons I combined from these which were there. Mine are here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/nljxl9
- My fvwm config is pretty simple, the only thing about it is that it's modular, so that I can edit this or that piece of configuration without searching for corresponding lines. I mosly use fvwm as *box with better scripting and keybindings support. I uploaded what was not my laptops specific to box-look.org so that one who worked with *boxes could get a working setup less than in an hour and then just add things here and there. I badly need some feedback from the experienced users to avoid misleading people. The link: http://box-look.org/content/show.php/fv … ent=123415

Sex, purely because of the wallpaper. Transparency is a hindrance. Anyway link for wall please!

It's the desktop art plugin for rhythmbox, it's in the AUR

I read the whole FVWM manpage multiple times. It's such a huge manual. Of course I forgot most of it by now...

But if they tell you that I've lost my mind, maybe it's not gone just a little hard to find...

I only read the entries concerning what I want the wm make _now_, not the whole manual every evening... This might be a wrong approach but it works.
