I havent used Arch Linux before, but i have gone through many tutorials about the installation..
I tried installing Arch on my old laptop, but i could get network working so i gave up..
but yeah
It wont be an EEE netbook, ( i dont really like those ) more like one of the ones with 1 gig of ram and 160 gig HD.
So, can i use a tutorial like..
http://willensky.blogspot.com/
This, and use all of those steps and then be done with it?>
And does anyone else here use arch on their netbook !? thanks

Oh ok, I understand now
Arch, of course, is my favorite Linux distro. If Arch didn't exist, then I'd probably go Gentoo. If Linux didn't exist, I'd probably go FreeBSD

Lots of people use Arch on their netbooks (including me), and everything works fine. Mostly has to do with the chipsets in the machines; read around the wiki, lots of pages on netbooks.

Allan -> ArchBang is not supported because it is stupid.

Usually Xorg will recognize the screen resolution when you install and configure it. If it still doesn't work, you could always edit xorg.conf.
And about the wireless, as you said, it was an old laptop, so it may just be past its expiration date

Just about everybody installing Arch linux for the first time should follow the beginner guide.

do your homework for us.... research on the netbook's hardware and post it here if in doubt (before you should search that hardware on the wiki and bug reports).
unlike some other forums, here you are expected to do some research before asking questions it will help you go by easier in the future ... you will be amazed on the ammount of info the wiki has (and up to date too).
