Installed Arch Linux, fully update.
Did rm /usr/bin/{view,rview}
Installed vim sudo.
installed xf86-video-ati xf86-input-evdev xf86-input-keyboard xf86-input-mouse and kdemod-complete.
Removed network from rc.conf added dbus hal networkmanager kdm.
The login screen loads fine.
When I login, X crashes and I end up at login again. Tested before with catalyst-test package from aur same thing happens.
Removed networkmanager-plasmoid still happens.

Make sure your system is fully up-to-date. Then try starting KDE from a console so you can see the error message.

On the kdemod forums they gave me an answer. It was to install qimageblitz. That solved it.
