More hdd space is getting used up everytime I upgrade my system. My partition layout is as follows:
7 GB /
3 GB /var
32 MB /boot
Leftovers /home
More space is getting used up in the / partition after each upgrade. I have already come to a point where I no longer install new packages. Last time I checked it was around 3.4 GB. It grows by .1 GB for each system upgrade and is now on 3.9 GB. I was wondering why is that as my /var is on a separate partition.

Use du to see what's eating up your space.
