Today, my xfwm suddenly stop to work after a system wide pacman update yesterday.
There seems no error in dmesg and Xorg.o.log. How can I debug now?

Is X working at all? Try startx with 'exec xterm' in your .xinitrc.
Good ideas do not need lots of lies told about them in order to gain public acceptance.

X seems fine. I can run Firefox, terminal and so on.
But, I can't switch task neither change the "focus" among windows.

what packages were updated? check your pacman.log and see if any of the packages might have affected your window manager.

How can I revert the change by pacman?

Ok, I figured out why.
Some packages changed my /desktop/gnome/session/required_components/windowmanager in gconftool-2 back to metacity.
Change it to xfwm4, fix the problem.
