Soooo.... I installed Arch on my macbook a month or two ago and was quite happy with it, once I got everything working.
However, work got thick and I reverted back to Mac OS until I could sit down and work on Arch some more.
I logged in last night and pulled up my terminal and typed "yaourt -Syu" as usual, but this is the output I've got. I have no idea if I was in the middle of something a month ago, or what. I was hoping someone here could help me discern why my upgrade is failing:
[kayle@myhost ~]$ yaourt -Syu

Thanks for any light you can shed on what's going on!

You have broadcom-wl installed, and it requires a kernel version that is less than 2.6.33. yaourt - Syu is trying to install the 2.6.33 kernel, as that is the version currently available in the core repo.
IMO the error message is perfectly clear.

it seems that broadcom-wl need a kernel version < 2.6.33 therefore the upgrade is failing because the newest kernel is 2.6.33 series
