[solved] old laptop - ram requirement

hi everybody, i found an old pressario laptop having 128mb ram. the wiki states that memory requirements to install arch are 128mb to perform a netinstall. so far so good. unfortunately, it seems as if only 122mb ram in this laptop are "useable" and detected. therefore, i can't seem to boot any current install usb-image.

my question: are there anywhere images flying around where the memory requirement to perform an installation is less than 128mb? or is it possible to create a custom installation cd (archiso, larch?) with less requirements? anyone?

You can use the lowmem parameter to make the installer it work on 96MB+ ram I think.

I haven't lost my mind; I have a tape back-up somewhere.

IIRC If you don't have a dedicated graphics card, you may have less RAM detected and 'usable'.
USB images may not work, you should try good ol' CD isos.

@releng
Do we provide isolinux-based iso images?
