I used to have my Sony DSC-W55 auto-mounting when it was plugged and powered on. Now the camera seems to be connected to the computer (4 white dots appear in the display showing that the PTP connection is ok), but it is not auto-mouting anymore. This problem doesn't happen with USB sticks.
I use gnome in an Arch64, everything up-to-date.
dmesg:
usb 3-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 8
lsusb:
Bus 003 Device 008: ID 054c:004e Sony Corp. DSC-xxx (ptp)
How do I fix the auto-mount of my camera?
Thanks

the only thing that can remember is that gvfs was splitted in additional packages and maybe you didn't noticed that.
Optional Deps : gvfs-afc: AFC (mobile devices) support
gvfs-smb: SMB/CIFS (Windows client) support
gvfs-gphoto2: gphoto2 (PTP camera/MTP media player) support
gvfs-obexftp: ObexFTP (bluetooth) support
pacman -S gvfs-gphoto2
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Flawless! It worked after installing gvfs-photo2 package
Thanks, wonder
