Cannot install GNOME: package conflict problem

When I tried to install GNOME 2.10 via pacman, I got "Error: mozilla conflicts with nss-nspr." What's going on here?

Re: Cannot install GNOME: package conflict problem

Nss-nspr seems to be a dependancy of one of the items in gnome-extra. It's not installed.

You can use the --force switch with pacman to ignore the warning. I don't know if that will break stuff, so I'd be careful with it.

Re: Cannot install GNOME: package conflict problem

If you want to use epiphany, you can install mozilla first.

Mozilla provides nss-nspr, and conflicts with it too. Evolution-data-server depends on nss-nspr, which gets removed when epiphany is installed.

This thing also pops up with xorg and xfree86 where xorg provides xfree86: try installing gtk2 and ghostscript in the same run on a fresh system and you'll notice it will pop up with conflicts between xfree86 and xorg.
