I don't need LDAP, and 24 MB should be enough space; I'm gonna use it mainly for small webapps in CGI/Python, and perhaps running an instance of irssi. As for information about the server, I would personally prefer either a mailing list or an RSS feed.
Check your PM for my personal details, and thanks alot for doing this. I really appreciate it.

I am going to be headed off to college soon, and so loose access to all of my family's computers (except for the one that I take with me) for messing around with, so I would like an account if there is still space left.
96mb would be my preference, because it would be ruffly equivalent in size to a free Google App Engine account, so I could hypothetically use it as a second location for my backups (if I ever get my planned back-up system working). But my primary plan of use would just be for miscellaneous playing around, for which 24mb would suffice if disk space is of concern. (I would not want to keep others from getting access to this just because I greedily took more than I could ever use.)
My name is Caleb Hansen, and my email is hunter@ the free archlinux domain name talked about in another thread.

Thanks kaitocracy
This is really really great. Mailed you yesterday and received the account 24 hours later. I really appreciate your efforts. Thank you so much

Hi there,
Would it be possible for you to install ytalk or talk?
Cheers!
I am reluctant to install a 'talk' application as it seems to me that there are much better modern alternatives. I am in the process of setting up an IRC server which can server for interuser communication. If you believe you need 'talk' please provide a use case. Also you are free to compile and install it locally.

Hi
You have bitlbee installed. But the daemon is not started. Could you start the daemon please.

@kaitocracy:
Would it be possible to allow anon. ftp access to what's in ~/.public? Purely for convenience purposes - that is, I would like myself and others to, on occasion, be able to alter some stuff without having to use ssh, but perhaps this request is a little silly (though it made sense in my head)

Most modern ftp clients also support sftp, no?

I'm thinking about setting up some sort of WebDAV for this, but in general I can't see a way to secure FTP to write access in just ~/.public. If you can come up with a vsftpd configuration that is secure and would allow this sort of access I'll be happy to take a look at it and if it meets my security standard I will deploy it.

Just a note. For anyone who has requested a shell account, the offer is still open but it's finals week at Duke. I'll get to all of you next week.

Sure, why not. Hit me up with a 24MB account. Won't be needing any of that LDAP & SQL stuff. Thanks. I wonder how fast it will be, as I live in on the other side of The Atlantic.
Oh, and the details:
