[RESOLVED] openbox-session being ran twice.

Hey guys, I've run into a problem here.  For some reason, openbox-session is executed twice on the same X screen ( 0:0 ).

my .xinitrc is as follows:

#!/bin/sh

exec ck-launch-session openbox-session

Simple aye... anyways, everytime I use 'startx' or 'xinit' -- it runs two openbox-sessions on the same xserver.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please show us the error you get.
Create a new user and try again, may be it helps.

Re: [RESOLVED] openbox-session being ran twice.

there is no error on starting it, the only error is when i log out it showed conflicts between XIO 0:0 on 2 instances, because theres 2 openbox-sessions on it.

and i'll try the new user, backing some things up first tongue

Can you install htop or something and show the programs running?

Show the output of this:

 ps aux | grep openbox-session

Re: [RESOLVED] openbox-session being ran twice.

i've solved it. the problem was conky. conky starting too early was forking the openbox-session for some reason, i set the delay on conky to 6s before executing in openbox/autostart.sh -- only one instance now.  Going to have to report this to conky devs.  Sorry for the trouble, marking as resolved.
